CANTERVILLE GHOST

The famous Cantervile Ghost short story by Oscar Wild is almost entirely set within a manor called Canterville Chase. For this brief I needed to design the manor interior based on a real world exterior.  For this exterior I chose Clevedon Court.

When designing the interior I always had the shots and rough storyboard in my mind starting with the shots I knew I wanted, then working from there building the architecture to enhance the visual narrative.

The section of the story I chose to base my set around was a simple section of one of the characters returning from a walk. The original building had a courtyard so in my interior I wanted to expand on that to create a series of shots that transitioned from interior to exterior spaces.
